Practical help when the same child behaviour keeps repeating at home.
Individual parent guidance for tantrums, transitions, routines and reasonable boundaries in children aged approximately 2 to 6. Available online or in your home across Melbourne's north-east.
You may already know that you want to stay calm, be consistent or maintain boundaries. The difficult part is deciding what that looks like when your child is overwhelmed and distressed. A situation that puts pressure on parents too.
Gibbs Parent Consulting helps you focus on one recurring situation, understand what is happening around it, practise a realistic parent response and leave with a clear action plan.
Knowing the general advice is not always the same as being able to use it in the moment.
Situations this support can focus on:
Repeated conflict around bedtime or another routine
Instructions that are repeated without effect
Different adults responding differently to the same behaviour
A tantrum after a reasonable limit
Difficulty leaving a preferred activity
The service focuses on the parent response and home implementation. It does not diagnose or treat a child or parent.
What the first consultation includes
One recurring situation. Preparation before the session. A focused consultation. Practice and feedback. A concise written action plan. A short implementation check-in.
Choose online or in-home support.
How It Works
Send a short enquiry. Tell me the child's age and the one situation that keeps repeating.
Confirm fit and format. If the service fits, choose the online or in-home consultation. If fit is unclear, a free 15-minute suitability call can clarify scope and process.
Build and use the plan. We map the pattern, practise the response and agree what you will try. You receive the concise plan and a scheduled check-in.
Newborn support
The Newborn Foundations Package remains available as a separate service for families wanting structured support across the first four months. It is available as a fully online or fully in-home package. It is not part of the child-behaviour support pathway above.
